Can you buy a gift card for Detroit Zoo? ›

Gift cards are available for purchase at the membership sales booth and customer care office. Guests may also purchase Zoo gift cards through third party affiliates Kroger and giftcardmall.com.

You can bring your own bottles or buy reusable ones at concessions, all of which are refillable for free at filtered-water stations throughout the Zoo.

About 3-4 hours if you want to really see EVERYTHING, and have lunch as well! It of course can be longer if you like.

Know Before You Go

The Detroit Zoological Society has revised safety protocols to no longer require masks in outdoor areas. However, because it's impossible for us to know the vaccination status of every visitor, for the time being, everyone must wear a mask inside our buildings.

Tri-county seniors 62 and older and one adult guest receive free admission and parking — they do NOT need to buy tickets or make a reservation. All other guests, other than Detroit Zoo members, must purchase admission to the Zoo.
